How to set a Ramadan wallpaper on your iPhone lock screen

  1. Tap Download 4K under the design you like. The full image opens.
  2. Press and hold the image, then tap Save to Photos (on a computer, the file downloads; AirDrop it to your phone).
  3. On your iPhone, touch and hold the Lock Screen until Customize appears, tap +, then Photos, and choose the wallpaper.
  4. Pinch to adjust if needed, tap Add, then choose Set as Wallpaper Pair or customise the Home Screen separately.

Tip for the light designs (beige, pink): while customising, tap the clock and pick a darker colour or the dark-text style. It reads far better on pastel backgrounds.

Which iPhones do these fit?

Every design is 2160 × 4680 pixels, larger than the screen of every iPhone below, so iOS only ever scales it down and it stays sharp. The 9:19.5 shape matches every iPhone with Face ID, so nothing important is cropped. (On an iPhone SE, with its shorter screen, the top and bottom are trimmed.)

When is Ramadan 2027?

Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027.

Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to start on or around Monday, 8 February 2027 (the first taraweeh the night before), with Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027. Dates depend on the moon sighting, and countries can differ by a day. The last ten nights are expected to begin on the evening of about 27 February, which is when the Laylat al-Qadr and last-ten-nights designs above come into their own.

Every key date, from the first taraweeh to Eid, with fasting hours by city, is in our Ramadan 2027 guide. Planning to make up fasts from last year first? Our fasting tracker guide covers logging Ramadan and make-up fasts, and how to be consistent in salah covers keeping the habit after the month ends.

FAQ

Are these Ramadan wallpapers free?

Yes. All 21 are free to download and use as your own phone wallpaper. Please don't resell them or upload them to wallpaper apps as your own.

When does Ramadan 2027 start?

Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to begin on or around Monday, 8 February 2027, with Eid al-Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027. The exact date depends on the sighting of the crescent moon, so confirm with your local mosque.

What resolution are the wallpapers?

Each one is 2160 × 4680 pixels (4K, 9:19.5), which covers every current iPhone at full sharpness, including the Pro Max models. They also fit most Android phones.

Will the clock cover the design?

No. Every design keeps the top third calm so the iOS clock, date and widgets sit on clear space, and nothing important is placed near the flashlight and camera buttons.

Is it okay to have a Quran verse as a phone wallpaper?

Scholars differ. IslamQA permits it on conditions: that it is there as a reminder rather than decoration, and that the verse is written in clear, readable Uthmani script, not as decorative shapes (IslamQA 300101). Our verse designs use clear, undecorated Uthmani script. IslamWeb advises avoiding it, because it is disliked to take something bearing Allah's name into the toilet uncovered (IslamWeb 341401). If that concerns you, choose a design without text, or use a verse only on your Home Screen and a plain design on the Lock Screen.

Can I use these on Android?

Yes. Download the 4K file, open it in Photos or Gallery, tap the menu and choose Set as wallpaper. Android crops slightly differently, so pinch to position it.

When are the last 10 nights of Ramadan 2027?

If Ramadan begins on Monday 8 February, the last ten nights begin after Maghrib on Saturday 27 February 2027 and run to the end of the month on 8 or 9 March.

When is Laylat al-Qadr 2027?

It is sought in the odd nights of the last ten, expected to begin on the evenings of 27 February and 1, 3, 5 and 7 March 2027. The 27th night falls on the evening of Friday 5 March. Add a day if your country starts Ramadan on 9 February.

Which iPhones do these wallpapers fit?

Every iPhone with Face ID, from iPhone X and XR to iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air: at 2160 × 4680 pixels each design is larger than those screens and has the same 9:19.5 shape. On an iPhone SE, whose screen is shorter, the top and bottom are cropped.

Can I use them as a WhatsApp wallpaper?

Yes. Save the image to Photos, then choose it as a chat wallpaper in WhatsApp's chat settings. You can also share the designs on WhatsApp with a link to this page.
